2013 / From delay to balance
In spring, very heavy rainfalls exceeded the standards by almost three quarters, causing a strong decrease in sunshine. Cold, which marked the beginning of this vintage especially in February and May, went on till the month of June. The summer weather forecast proved to be more favorable: there were even strong heat and more intense sunshine than seasonal standards in July, but the spring climate hazards sadly provoked late flowering, flower abortion and severe drops of the yields. However the thinning out of the leaves allowed the control of the grapes health. The harvests ended a glorious month of September which achieved the maturity while preserving a very good acidity level. In this way our wines show very fresh and floral bouquets and delight with their remarkable balance between richness, freshness and purity.
