Vintage review
2004 / Dazzlingly fresh an and pure
Exceptionally no frost stage was to deplore in spring. Conversely the climatic conditions were capricious in summer : both months of July and August were cool, with an unsettled and excessively showery month of August. Of course this humid season caused the slowing down of the maturity and the pressing of diseases. Luckily a very sunny, dry, hot month of September settled, boosted the maturation process and finally saved the crop. The very straightforward wines develop a bouquet of great purity, with a well-marked minerality and refined notes of dried fruit and almond. The mouth stands out by its elegance and its balance between mellowness and acidity. This freshness highlights the fruit and the 2004 Chablis personality.
